Painted by the engines
The gallery — cards from all three studios
Every card below was painted by the same engines you can open in the studios, from the 81 palettes distilled from the paintings. No retouching: these are straight renderings of the palettes' colour worlds.
Van Gogh's Card
The studio's own gallery shows a sample for all 27 palettes.Cards from Vincent van Gogh — each painted from a different palette.
Cards from Paul Cézanne — each painted from a different palette.
Cards from Claude Monet — each painted from a different palette.
The engines at work
Three recordings, one per studio: a card painting itself stroke by stroke — the same animation each studio exports as a GIF.

What you are looking at
The engines are deterministic: a palette and a seed always paint the same card, which is why any card here can be re-opened in its studio and kept. The stills were rendered offline at gallery size; the animations capture the strokes in the order the engine lays them.
