Painter's Cards

Three studios · one family · 81 palettes

Paint a card like Van Gogh, Cézanne or Monet — right in your browser

Painter's Cards is the hub for three free painting studios, one for each painter. Van Gogh's Card lays down swirling impasto strokes; Cézanne's Card builds the picture from parallel colour patches; Monet's Card dissolves everything into broken colour and light. Each studio ships 27 palettes distilled from the painter's own canvases, a brush you can drive by hand, calligraphy text, and seven export formats — PNG, JPEG, WebP, SVG, animated GIF, a self-contained HTML snippet and PDF. No account, no upload: every stroke is rendered in your browser and stays there.

Three painters, three working studios

Each studio is a small, complete painter: a seeded engine that lays strokes the way the painter built a canvas, a palette drawer of 27 colours drawn from the paintings, a calligraphy layer for text and cards, and a room of its own on its own domain. Start with any of them — the family is built to be explored.

Watch a card paint itself

Every card is painted stroke by stroke. These are recordings of the engines at work — one seeded painting per studio, from the first dab to the finished card.

Why these three painters, why this way

  • 1A palette taken from real paintings

Each of the 81 palettes is distilled from a specific canvas — The Starry Night's deep blues and cadmium yellows, the ochres of the Bibémus quarry, the lilies' green-to-rose light at Giverny. Pick one and the whole card speaks that painting's colour.

  • 2A seeded engine, not a filter

Nothing is warped or filtered. The engines build every card from strokes — swirls for Van Gogh, parallel patches for Cézanne, broken touches and washes for Monet. Change the seed and a new painting appears in the same hand.

  • 3Yours to finish

Add calligraphy in nine typefaces, run your brush over the canvas by hand, drag the white borders and the corner radius, lock what you love and re-paint the rest. Undo and reset are always one click away.

  • 4Free in the honest sense

No account, no watermark, no upload queue. Every studio renders in your browser — photos you drop in for palette extraction never leave your device, and every export is built locally.

One card, seven exits

All three studios export the same seven formats, so a card can become a wallpaper, a poster, a looping animation, an embeddable page or a print sheet without ever leaving the browser.

One family, three doors

The three studios link to each other as friend sites — a row of doors in every footer, and a page on each site introducing the other two painters. Wander from a starry night to a Provençal mountain to a lily pond in three clicks; painting stays open on every page you land on.

Questions, answered

What is Painter's Cards?

It is the hub that gathers three free browser painting studios: Van Gogh's Card, Cézanne's Card and Monet's Card. Each paints cards in one painter's style and colour, and each lives on its own domain; this site introduces them, shows what they do and links straight into them.

Are the studios really free — and is anything uploaded?

Yes, and no, in that order. All three studios are free with no account and no registration, and nothing is uploaded: painting, palette extraction from your photos and every export run entirely in your browser.

Which studio should I open first?

For drama and movement, Van Gogh's Card; for calm structure, Cézanne's Card; for light and quiet colour, Monet's Card. The compare page walks through the difference in strokes in detail.

Can I paint with the colours of my own photo?

Each studio can extract a palette from a photo you drop in, then harmonises it toward the painter's colour world — so a holiday snap can become a Giverny card, or your living room a Provençal still life.

What can I export?

PNG, JPEG and WebP stills, an SVG vector, an animated GIF of the card being painted stroke by stroke, a self-contained HTML snippet you can paste into any page, and a print-ready PDF.

Do the studios work on phones?

Yes. All three are responsive and touch-ready — drag to paint, pinch to zoom, double-tap to add text; the toolbars reflow for small screens.

Pick a painter and paint

Three doors above, three more in the footer. The canvases are waiting.
